Howto get more bang out of my Bullitt

I've got Bullitt that runs great. However, I'm feeling a bit ripped off with the 4.6 16 valve while the new Mach gets a 32 valve. I've been looking into the Vortex blower, but I'm not sure about the option yet. Right now it's stock except for the K&N filter. I was just about to start looking in to porting and such but thought I would stop here first.. So, any ideas (do's and don'ts) on getting a bit more bang out of it.

Great info... they're just down the road from me too (about 1.5 hour drive anyway). Now to get the wife to let me have it for Christmas... hmmmm

A KB Supercharger for christmas? Oh how I *WISH*! Unfortunately... I can't afford $3k-$5k (couldn't find a price) for a gift to myself ;D.

Superglue a few cubic zirconiums on top and tell her it's her automotive jewelry.

And I can't wait until they come out with one for the Mach ;-) I want twin screws.... In a bad way. Yep, there are other kits out there, but KB is the way I want to go...

A Mach with an automatic tranny and a KB would be onewicked drag strip performer. Are they supposed to make one for it?

Oh, probably not :(

The problem is that the shaker hood is very important to those who bought the Mach's - and the design of the KB would mean that the shaker would have to go... for me, that wouldn't be a problem...hell I'd rather have a big KB blower stickin' out the top of the hood . I don't think there'd be a big market for it. But you are correct, an AODE transmission and a KB would make a screamer at the track.... with 4:10's and a manual, it make for one hell of a fun daily driver (that's what *I'm* looking for).

Glad to see another Bullitthead in here.

You need to check out (if you haven't already)

That's the International Mustang Bullitt Owner's Club, and they have tons of great info on our cars. A few of the members there have blowers, both Vortech and Kenne Bell, on their cars. Also, I think you mean Vortech; the Vortex is one of those thingummies like the Tornado.

BTW, there's a rumor that another Bullitt movie is coming. Can you see Brad Pitt as Lt Frank Bullitt?

OMG that's funny...

Thats funny... I saw that right after I hit the send key and was just hoping no one would notice. thanks... ;-)

Is that who they're thinking of starring in it? Well, I guess they're trying to appeal to a certain crowd if they are. Anything to get $$$.

I'll have to check, but I think mine is #3955.

Is your Bullitt stock? My bro-inlaw is pleading with me to keep it stock. My work is about to start paying off in a REAL big way and all I can think of is sticking a blower in this thing. My kid wants me to get the new Viper, but I keep toying with getting an SVT. But, there's something I like about having a car that hits a hell of a lot harder than it's "supposed" to. Almost everyday after work, I drive by the local HS and some kid pulls up with his turbo WRX or Boxter and wants to try me. I have never lost to anything with less than 8 cyl. I raced a brand new porche 911 and beat him bad... he mis-shifted 3rd... haha... I saw him in my rear view hitting his stearing wheel... ha.. it brings a tear to me eye... most of those people won't challange the SVT's cuz they know power to weight ratio is nasty. I would love to have a Bullitt that pulls as hard as (if not harder than) the '03 SVT cuz no one would expect it.

Hehehehehe... that's funny (the porche 911 missing 3rd). You should be careful with the whole street racing/dragging stuff... especially around a high school. Generally dangerous & quite frankly.. retarded (kids around FFS). Oh well... just keep it safe.

So true about the HS. I'm no where near it when "those" kids are out. The school gets out at 2:30-3:00... I get off work around 6:00. It's a short light to light setup, so I'd be lucky to get into 3rd for half a second. But, still fun to show the ricers a thing or two. I've got 4 kids of my own and know to look. :) What's funny is, I've seen the porche guy a few times after work since that day, and he wants revenge. Now, it's kind of a joke between us... He motions to go again and I just give him a "naw... I already took you once" kinda look... he chuckles, gives a peace sign and leaves...

I saw in another post that you are a web designer. Have you done anything with ASPX? I made a personal site with it. I'm just trying to learn a bit more about it from people who've "been there, done that".

btw: I'm not retarded... just Dumber Than Snot! ;-)

Doesn't take 3rd gear to hit a kid :P... the real dumb ones will run into your car w/out you even going :x.
