Idle Problems, 2001 Stang

I have a 2001 Mustang that recently developed a rough idle. When I stop at a light or any particular stop, the idle will drop to a little over 500 and then shoot back up to around 1000. This will cycle back and forth until I get moving again. It happens with the a/c on or off and in hot or cold weather. I brought it to Ford and they said it was just my fuel system, throttle body, being dirty and they could clean it up for a little below $300.00. So I brought it to Jiffy Lube and got the fuel system cleaning service. Alas this did not fix the problem. I do not want to have to go to Ford and pay them and possibly still have a problem.

Does anyone have a solution for me?

I think I used to have a similar problem ...but mine was when I bought the car ... it went away eventually does the engine need tuning probably ??

wow ... is it a good idea to occasionally disconnect the battery to reset the memory ?

And how long did it take you to get a refund for their ineffectual service?
