Those things are really getting rare. I know of one in my area, and the guy plans to make a mini-stock out of it. It's a sharp little Ghia, in excellent condition, with a blown up 302 in it. I've tried my best to change his mind, but he won't listen.
For a very brief while, I had one of the 302 totin' Cobra II's. It was a pain in the neck to work on and was just extremely susceptible to rust here in the northeast. For a little car, it was pretty slow by today's standards. But back in the mid-late 70's when horsepower was going down the toilet, it wasn't half bad compared to other cars of the day.
I sold it to a college kid who promptly wrapped it around a phone pole about a week later. Somehow, the kid walked away without a scratch, but the car was a pretzel....
And here I always thought it was simply to give up its front-end for a nice Street Rod.
