Granted, it's a 1/10 scale car, but this guy did 104mph actual (not scale) in 1.5 seconds in 132 ft. (1/10 scale 1/4 mile).

It was weird listening to dead silence when that thing launched. It looked like it was being pulled down the track on a cable. It has six wheels and eight motors and it was spinning tires going across the finish line!

Gotta love the torque "curve" on electric motors. It's basically straight and flat - full torque all the time.
