OT: Looking for Pinto wagon

Northern California - Southern Oregon area. I am looking for a running Pinto or Bobcat station wagon. If anyone knows of one for sale, please post here. Thanks.

cars.com has a few listed. Nothing says "pride of ownership" like a Pinto wagon. Happy shopping!

Nothing says "eat my dirt" like a warmed-over small block stuffed in a Pinto or a Bobcat. A local salvage yard has a complete Bobcat that piqued my interest. But, alas, I've got too many other projects that are taking up my time.....

There's a bright yellow Pony sitting dust covered under a carport a few blocks from me. It's been there for at least 20 years now.

I enjoyed your website very much. I had a 79 Pinto with a 2.3 and a stick. I drive that car till it had 140K miles and I didn't really have any problems with it. I always liked Pintos and I think they were great little cars. I wish I had better fotos of it but here's one:

That oil stain on the driveway is from a different car. The Pinto didn't leak.

Enjoyed it. I know a lot of what you went through because I had a '76 Mustang II Cobra with the 302. (Still have it. Later on that) I had that engine in and out a dozen or more times and was actually quite good at pulling the motor. I know everything about the small tranny bellhousing and the special oil pan that it takes. In it's heyday, my car had a Boss 302 crank, rods and forged pistons. It also had some very massaged '69 351 heads that had some chevy valves. I had some company specially make my headers. (That was expensive) I had a true dual exhaust with both itty bitty turbo mufflers crammed together on the right side of the gas tank. It was a real head turner in it's day. Now back to the "still having it" part. I had given this car to my nephew. After a few years he gave it to my niece. She has now donated it back to me and with my daughter getting to the driving age in a few years, who knows?? You are right about getting the car to have traction. As far as top end, that was a different story. ;-)

Not my website, someone else's. I enjoyed reading it and remembered it when this thread came up... I found that one line amusing :)
