came across an old photo of a friend and just have to know what on earth this car is...

I am thinking it is an import to Canada, not a North American car, because the tires are so thin and by 1969 when this was shot most N.A. cars had much wider tires.I Photoshopped the middle of the car because someone was standing in front of, so any grille emblem and name was already obscured.
There is another shot of this car that shows an almost Baracuda-like rear seat area with curved glass but it isn't a Baracuda at all.
Anyone?
