Interesting. I use Nu-Finish as a polish (was that a collective *gasp* I just heard?), and I get great results with Mr. Clean. I also use Rain-X yet haven't noticed a problem with the windows, but I always retreat the windshield after washing, so I probably wouldn't notice a problem anyway.

Max,
You should use the RainX concentrate or the premixed stuff in your windshield washer reservoir, works great! We've started using it in our fire trucks.
In the past, I'd had bad experiences in getting the fire truck windshields clean with Windex type products after RainXing the windshields. But after using the concentrate in my P.O.V. (personal vehicle) for a year I'm a believer again. Most of the time the wipers can take care of it, other times a swipe with the chamois when washing does the job.

Well that was my thinking also but on a recommendation I tried "Diamond Luster" car wax (available on the internet). My car never looked better. It has a great shine and completely eliminates scratches and flaws that no other polish/wax could touch. This is great news but best of all it's VERY EASY to apply. You apply it on a damp cloth and wipe it off while still wet. It leaves no residue, does not contaminate rubber parts, and looks fabulous. My son and I waxed my GT for a car show in 20 minutes. I applied, he dried are we were off to the car show looking great. No more wipe and shine either.. waxing is just as fast and looks better. I used to postpone waxing because it was such a chore. Now I look forward to it because its fast and the results are great.

Anyone else have any opinions on Zaino? I bought it and have yet to use it.

I use it and I love it, I think it looks really great and does last a long time. It really is as good as everyone says that it is. The thing I don't like is that it does take quite a while to wax the car which is OK if you have nothing else to do. I might give that Diamond Luster a try, and see if I can get more driving time and less primping time.

I hear that man... I have been using Meguiars Quick Wax. It gives a pretty decent shine... takes me about 10 minutes for MY car if I hurry.. but it does NOT last long. It'll last a few weeks.. then you can see it fading off. It takes so little time though... gah. I'll try that Diamond Luster stuff... I want something that lasts longer, but is easy to apply. Tired of sore arms applying damn good wax.

Please report your results to the group.
Everyone of my friend I've turned on to Diamond Luster swear by it. Even the Porsche guy that goes so far as to clean the underside of his car with a tooth brush thinks its great.

I bought the $30 filter from Lowes with cartridges that you can change depending on your needs. It takes all the junk out of the water and makes it taste like bottled. They have a whole house filter that is MUCH less than what Paul paid.
