Question about tire size and rubbing issues on 88 5l

I'm going to be putting on some 17x9 cobra r's (with a 18mm offset) on my car and am wondering what size tire I can fit on the front with out having the inside of the fender rub? I was thinking 245/45's but may beef up the back with 255's (I think I need to remove the quad shock if I do correct?) I have 225 on stock ten holes, right now but would like something bigger on the front of the car.

If thats the 6.42" back spacing you should be ok with the 245s. I ran 245s with just a little scrub when turning and going over a bump.
