Roller Lifter conversion question

Jul 25, 2004 2 Replies

I have all of the parts bu I am trying to dert9imine which way to put the roller lifters into the block. There is a small oil hole near the top of the lifter and it is on the "side" of the lifter. Should I line these up so that they point to the inside of the block or the outside??

This is a 347 stroker kit in a 1965 block and so far all is going well....

Thanks in advance,

Dominic

I don't think it matters. I don't recall paying any attention to that during my install. The same hole is there on a flat tappet lifter, and it rotats around in the bore as the engine runs.

Let us know how your engine combo works out, I've read stroking a 289 is bad juju.
