Hey gang,
first things first...HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all.......I would like to just find out what kind of HP I am looking at. My car is a 1984 Gt with the 302 H.O. It is a 5 speed. the net says 175 hp at 285 lbs of torque.
The car has only the following mods:
headers straight pipes (custom made) holley 650 carb 4 bbl, with original intake I removed the air pump, therefore shorter belt original diff with gears Hayes Competition clutch & flywheel new push rods and lifters.
That's pretty much it for now----I will be changing the diff to an 8.8 with
3.73's and I would like to put an edelbrock performer carb and intake. ( will this make a major difference)
I do not have alot of $$$ to spend on it so what is the best way to go!.... The car is very clean and mostly stock! I am very patient and am willing to learn--I want to do this the right way! All I want to reach is between
250-300 hp at flywheel~
