Thinking of buying interior paints from 50resto.com? Read this.

I purchased another lot of parts for my 1988 GT Convertible from 50resto.com recently and wanted to share my experience.

What I really want to talk about is the interior paint I bought. I have a Regatta blue interior which I don't see all that often. Problem is my car was abused before it came under my care. Much of the interior paint was faded or stained. I decided it was finally time to try out some paint and see what kind of luck I had. I turned to 50resto.com and nervously ordered the laquer and vinyl paint for my color / year. I was scared to death the paint wouldn't match or my parts would turn out ugly because of it being difficult to apply. I decided to test this stuff out on my ash tray door. After cleaning it up I sprayed it down. The paint is AMAZING to say the least. The color matches exactly and looks/feels GREAT. So if you are looking to buy interior paints to spruce up your 87-93 mustang and are nervous - put your mind at ease and go buy the paint from 50resto.com.

Well I sounded like a tool spouting that commercial... Just wanted to encourage others if they are nervous with the results they may have.

Ford sells colour matched paint too and I've always found it matched extremely well. Many times if you buy interior trim pieces they come in whatever colour they pick out of the bin as there is no specific P/N for particular coloured parts. Ford just states " paint to match". I once got a part in red and had to squirt it gray. StuK

Wow, I was expecting just the opposite. When I had my clutch installed the idiot sprayed brake cleaner on the fuse cover. I assume you would recomend it for that?

Definitely, just prep the fuse cover appropriately. The tech at 50resto told me to wash it with dish soap under hot water then rub it down with rubbing alcohol.
