Tremec 5 Speed issues

I have an '02 gt and I am experiencing notchy shifting in 1st-2nd (with the stock shifter, i've spoken to a sales rep at steeda and he says replacing the shifter will not help), similar to what is described below, but fortunately no grinding is occurring. Does anyone have any further information regarding this? I've tried to adjust the clutch and I've also taken the car back to the dealer and they say nothing is wrong. The car has been babied and only has 6,500 miles.

Thanks, John

Quoting the below text from a previous post: "The problem is with Tremec 3650 5-speed transmissions used on Bullit Mustangs and mid-year 2001 GTs through the present. Cold and warm shift problems engaging 1-2 and 2-3 gear shifts. Grinding is common among many owners, myself included. Changing to Redline D4 does not cure, but can improve the issue slightly, from others experiences. I've nearly been rear ended by closely following vehicles when trying to accelerate away from traffic lights or stop signs because 2nd gear feels blocked by something in the way of the stick (warm or cold). Not expected from a Mustang. Even with this fault I love my '01 GT with the Tremec 3650. Wish this problem could be solved. That is the goal of the potential class action suit.

check stangnet.com, there's a couple threads about this. seems the consensus is if you replace the tranny fluid that'll help.
