What can i do to a 97 4.6L GT???

Exhaust and a headswap. If a headswap isn't in the cards, PI cams.

What are PI cams? (maybe I am just having a mental block, but it doesn't seem familiar)

The cams that come in the '99+ engines. They're a bolt-in and give 10-15 rwhp.

Interesting, is it just swaping the cams themselves or does more have to go along with it? Although replacing the cams along on the car would probably be a PITA, might as well do the head assemblies?

I fall into the same category, I have a 97 GT with 25k on the odometer and zero drive train mods besides a shifter. I picked up a set of 2k PI heads intake and valve covers for 600$ and I'm going with long tube headers and a catted H pipe.

My only concern is what type of compression I end up with. I was thinking future Kenne bell but the compression may be too high for that... Sean

Ideally, a full headswap is the way to go, but if money is tight, PI cams can be had for around $200.

For me it's pain-in-the-ass factor. I'd like more power but if it's too much work I'd rather do chasis mods instead.... if I ever get around to anything that is.

Well....

Your best bet is gonna be a PI head swap. It'll give you all the HP gains you need.:)

W/ PI heads, cams and intake, you're looking at 30+ HP gains (most likely more, but I'm not gonna overdo it.)

Then you have all the custom stuff you can get. Aftermarkte intakes, Custom Cams, P&P heads, there are even stroker kits for it:)

BAsically if you wanna do it, they got it.
