I just finished installing a Steeda adjustable clutch cable (old one snapped). Already have an aluminum clutch quadrant. I must say it is VERY nice. Pedal effort is about 2x less. Feels real good too. Hurray, Steeda!

Odd... my pedal effort with steeda cable, quadrant, and firewall adjuster is higher, and lately it seems even more that it was before.
When my pedal effort got higher... that's the closer it was to snapping the cable. Might wanna look at the cable & see if it's starting to fray.

Where did it frey? feels/looks fine under the dash. I'll crawl under and see by the bell housing as well.
Very little fraying at the clutch fork where you adjust the cable... noticeable, but very little. The most fraying happened at the quadrant itself... Oh well :(.

I checked both ends, no freying. I lubed both. no lasting difference. I then turned the firewall adjuster all the way in, then back out, readjusting the clutch. It seems better now. given the noise coming from under the dash, I think the bushings inside the tube are wearing out. Will have to take apart the pedal assembly if it gets any worse. (There is a shaft from the clutch pedal that runs inside a tube to where the quadrant is mounted.)
Yeah, when my quadrant was put in... it came w/ no bushings... so mine is noisy & a little difficult to depress, but still easier than before.

Well, I originally went with a noname aluminum clutch quadrant... but now am tossing it out for (shipping today) a Steeda aluminum clutch quadrant. It should be here in 3-4 days. I'm excited :).
