350 Z driver killed racing his vehicle on the streets...

weird question... but... what color was the car?

airbags wouldn't have helped, he flipped like 5 times, hit four or five other vehicles and just generally demolished that poor car. from the pics in the paper you could not tell what it was. the story i read didn't state what kind of nissan he was driving. i was hoping it was a maxima or something.

From the paper: "Lindsay's Nissan 350Z was racing a BMW and a Honda when he careened off Bermuda Road" Wonder why they felt the need to identify the model of Nissan but not of the BMW and Honda? Would it have changed the story if it were just a Nissan, BMW, and Honda?

Must not have been a very good race! 80mph is close to normal driving speed around here in a 55mph zone.

Bermuda road is all of 1 1/2 blocks long (if that) and is, I believe, either a DG or dirt road (been a real LONG time since I've been out there). The speed limit is maybe 25 or 30 MPH.

How they managed to get to 80 on that road in that short a distance I find amazing, but then again, nothing that drunks do tends to amaze me anymore.

The indication was that the driver was drinking, so I agree. Drinking and driving can easily equate to death ... but usually the drunk people survive. This one got justice.

I have no problem with doing that IF the person racing was the owner of the car. If someone borrows my car or the car is in someone else's name, i do not think it is right for the state/county/city to be able to confiscate it.
