im haveing trouble with the drivers side seat it reclines and goes back up but it will not sit up as straight as i want it too any suggestions ive already taken the seats out of the car to examine it but there seems to be nothing wrong with any of the springs they all work and look in decent dshape.? please help.

Assuming that you're talking about an S13, as I've never heard about seat problems with the S14....
The seats in the S13's are a known problem. I found this out after my driver's seat fell apart at ~50K miles.
240sx.org has a kludgey solution for this in its FAQ:I put in a Recaro, and I've been happy ever since.
