looking at acquiring a 89 Nissan Pulsar. anyone have any info on what to check out on the car?? typically for this car? Thanks al

If possible, check the rear suspension points (like around welded areas) for rust through and if permissable, pull back the rear interior trim from around the shock/strut tower and check for rust along the length of those towers.

If it's a manual, check for excess play/sticking in the gearshifter through the gears. The plastic bushings at the bottom of the shifter rod may need replacing, very cheap fix.

Then the typical other stuff like front crank seal, rear main seal, CV boots, etc.
