Have 94 Sentra:

Last week after coming off the highway the car stop shifting into second. Before there was no signs of the transmission wanting to slip or shift hard it just stop shifting. I have reverse and first gear. I have done some research on the net and a lot of people talk about this governor that is on top of the transmission with a black cap that will pop off after removing the clips.. but I don't see anything like that and also they were talking about a 91 and 93 did the transmissions change for the 94? I also see that there is a 3 and 4 speed auto tran I think I am a 4 sp with over. what else can I check.. Drop the pan replace the filter and fluid.. is there a computer that tells it to shift? I know that it is getting up there in miles but I don't really want to spend a couple of grand on a new tranny if I can help it now.
