Hi,
I have a problem with my Maxima while pumping gas. The gas regularly leaks in bursts - may be because there is no space for the air to escape..I also have service engine light on and I took it a local mechanic a diagnostic check that confirmed that evaporation system had a problem and I need to replace couple of vents. He confirmed that fuel tank itself does not have any problem.
I had really bad experiences with Nissan dealers in my area in the past who literally robbed me by recommending changes to my car without a real necessity (I came to know about it later). So before knocking the dealer doors, I just wanted to find out if this is some thing I can fix myself.
Just curious what might the real issue..
