Its a blower motor resistor. Mine went on a Sentra like clockwork every
2 years. Part was about $20 at the dealer and was an easy DIY repair. On the Sentra it was located on the blower motor housing at the base of the passenger side dash (above the shins). Two screws and it was changed.Your parts guy should be able to tell you where it is.
I have an electrical problem with my Q45.The a/c fan in the car will only work on high.Does anyone know if there is a relay that controls this or where I can find a wiring manual or basic shop manual that will help me troubleshoot this problem?
Where is it at and how do I get to it?Sounds like the old GM way of doing it.
Most do it that way AFAIK. Some manufacturers put a case around the resistors for fire prevention (recent Nissan) some don't. Other than that, they're all just a bunch of wire wound resistors.
Look under the dash in the heater duct area for a connector attached to a unit secured by two screws. Typically it's a four wire connector. It's usually about 2 inches long. About the only other thing you'll see in that area will be the wires for the blower itself.
