I have had the same problem with my '96 Pathfinder, and worse. Last winter the clutch pedal was dead on the floor. A local mechanic replaced the slave cylinder and it still happened. Once the spring came the problem disappeared. Now it is unusually cold again (I live in southern NJU) the problem is back. Dead clutch pedal. I haven't driven it in weeks. A transmission specialist diagnosed it as nneing the master cylinder replaced this time.
