Re: A/C Servicing

I wonder if anyone is aware of how often the Air condition system

There is nothing in the owner's manual regarding scheduled or periodic maintenance of the air conditioner. Seeing that it is a sealed system, and seeing I went to A/C and heating tech school for a year, it makes perfect sense to me that you don't have to do anything unless you have a leak. The only thing I could find was that Nissan recommends you run the air conditioner for at least ten minutes every six months to circulate the oil. If an A/C shop tells you otherwise, they're scamming you.

you never need to change the oil or freon. If it leaks out you need to repair the leak , evacuate the air and recharge.

Freon never goes away. Only one way, you lose it to the air. It should be checked if it's lubcating right but, on a 00 you should't have to worry about a/c yet.

as long as you have cold air everything is good. When you dont it's bad...Never be fooled by It just needs a shot of Freon
