if the codes are just cleared from your computer with a scanner. and the problem is not being repaired the check engine light will come back. make sure the shop scans for codes retrieves them & checks the bad circuits afterword the technition will look up on a service manual or on a subscribed alldata system a series of tests that he will need to perform to isolate the problem. ;)

Thanks for the reply Johnin. I guess I should have been more clear.... I specifically brought the truck to an Autozone *just* to have the codes read (hoping it would point to a simple replacement/fix), and they cleared the codes for me. Given the fact that there are 2 codes that don't make much sense to me, I was hoping someone would have seen a similar/same issue and could point to a specific fix.
I'm pretty handy that way, and more importantly cheap, so I'd like to do this myself if possible and not pay out the nose at a dealership. If that's my only recourse at this point, so be it. :)
