From underneath (best bet, especially if you can get some good clearance), you can pull the "Carrier Bearing", the right half-shaft, and drop the sub-frame a bit.

Yes all altimas from 1993 to 1997 were the same except for the grill that went from honeycombed to horizontal bars in 1995.
