Sorry to here this. The started is comfortable house behind the engine, if I remember my labor times right, it takes about 3.4 hours to replace. You can see if from underneath, about the longer half-shaft (right axle). There are really no easy ways to get to it. From about, you'll have to remove the intake and fuel rails. From underneath (best bet, especially if you can get some good clearance), you can pull the "Carrier Bearing", the right half-shaft, and drop the sub-frame a bit.
These are actually the instructions for a 97 Altima, but I'm pretty sure it's the same.
Yes all altimas from 1993 to 1997 were the same except for the grill that went from honeycombed to horizontal bars in 1995.
