2000 MAX front converter problem / well maybe

service engine codes :


  1. Low cat efficiency for bank one cat
  2. 02 sensors check good (!)

The professionals are saying that I might need a front converter. The might part brings me here. Any other opinions on a resolution for the Low Cat Eff. for bank one Cat?



Not sure on warranty either for a front converter for 2000 MAX 45K ?

The "professionals" you spoke to are wrong.

As per a TSB Nissan has issued on this problem , the bank one oxygen sensor needs to be replaced and the ECM needs to be flashed with a new operating program.

this repair is covered under warranty , 8 years or 80,000 miles
