A little while ago, my 95 started making a gnashing sound when starting. I let it go and decided this week to get it looked at. Yesterday morning it was hard to start, in the afternoon, harder to start and this morning, just before my appointment it was very hard to start. I handed over the keys to the technician at the dealer and he was back in in a minute asking if I had a kill switch, the car wouldn't start at all. I don't have a kil switch.
The start motor was dead, $600 CAD plus labour and I was back out on the road in 1 hour. Starts like brand new again, flick of the key, less than a second and vrooom.
Mileage is 190,000 KM.
