Nissan Maxima Oxygen Sensor code

1999 Nissan Maxima "Service Engine Soon" diagnostic code reported that the O2 (Oxygen Sensor) on Bank 1" was in alarm. Online research for Nissan parts suggested that my car may have 3 oxygen sensors (front, center, & rear).

1999 Nissan Maxima "Service Engine Soon" diagnostic code reported ... DIY job, nice to have the proper 2$ tool.

The code may be or may not be true. Roll dice. First clear the code, wait if it repeats.

To make sure its O2, bank1: If you can,

- take both O2 connectors off

- using extra wiring, and rewire the sensors so that bank1 signal goes to bank2 ECU input etc.

- or disconnect sensors, swap their place

--->Now the next time the fault code will be for bank2 ...IF its for real.

...or just buy the sensor

The 2000 model has five O2.

this has to be one of the worst pieces of advice I have ever read.

PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS ! one wrong move and you will fry an $800.00 ECM .

take it to a qualified technician and get it diagnosed and repaired correctly.

If you live in Florida , bring it to me , I'll do it for free.

bank2 ECU input etc.

lol. I didnt know theres also CocaCola -qualification; just go check your earlier hillaryous instructions.

Baking Soda - WARNING: ECU's will fry with CocaCola.

Hope you will next time read the whole text = "If you can?"

- Yes, I believe u cant

- obviously if one cannot - then any warning is valid

- anybody familiar with computers, sensor input swap is no problem. Valid troubleshooting method.
