I have a Nissan Maxima 2002 ... I find that the Bose stereo system is very sensitive in the cold weather. Has anyone else experienced this? I try to play a CD but it would skip or pause constantly until things warm-up. Please advise.

Sounds like frost on the lens
How can frost get inside the component? Are there any other reason? It typically happens when the weather is around 0'C which isn't really that cold.
condensation can create problems too. It happens all the time. Used to have that problem on my wife's van
Are you sure you're not just getting condensation on the CD's?? When I go to put in a CD in the morning, I have to put it in front of the vent for a minute to defog it before I put it in the CD player.
