I have started to get a squeaking noise from my breaks quit often when I'm driving and I have to push the break pedal on and off a few times to try and stop the squeak. I don't think I need new pads or shoes as I have only done



9000 miles in three years and I had both front and brakes changed when I got the car. I'm not heavy on the breaks I am going to get them checked anyway to make sure their OK but I am wondering if it could be something else causing the squeak? My car is the 1360cc 205 Peugeot 1992.

You might find the brakes are sticking a bit due to limited use.

If it was me I take the front brakes apart and grease up the sliders and move the piston in and out a few times, and take the drms off the back, clean them up and adjust them properly.

we have a 106 squeak brakes on back wheel , our probelm is hand brake cable sticking on ,maybe same prob worth checking

Not yet mindwipe, I was told it could cost up to a hundred quid? So I will get the brakes looked at first, then I will try and save-up the money for the timing-belt. Nice of you to remember and ask about it mindwipe.
