My 306 td has just satrted making grinding noise sound like the brakes rubbing but it not I know it one of the folling alternator, power steeering pump or belt tensoiner as i whipped the belt off ran it and the noise had gone. no play in the alternator or pump forgot to check tensioner but have no idea what to cahnge i could wait till one breaks but that will be on a dark night 100mile from home knowing my luck thanks
