306 rev counter

Oct 25, 2004 1 Replies

This is probably a really silly question, but I'm going to ask anyway just incase it is actually possible. Is there any method of removing the clock on the 306 dash and replacing it with a rev counter? If so, where would be the best place to get the parts, and what'd be the best way of going about fitting it to the existing dash? If not, is there any method whatsoever of getting a rev count from the engine, or is this just not possible at all?

Thanks in advance, Dan

easy way to do this is to buy rev counter from motor shop lot out there and fit to dash quite easy to fit most of them cost a fair bit tho... also you could go to a brakers and get dash with tac all ready fitted that fits your model most cars have same wire loom so wires for tac should be in there all ready if not it's not hard to wire one in
