lock my dog in a 407

the only way I've found to lock my 407 with the dog in it is with the key blade - is there any way I can do it electronically one press seems to be lock, two for dead lock, 3 presses and it flashes the indicators a lot. Is three presses correct?

If it's anything like my 807 you can only do it with the key. Anything else arms the alarm and the dog will set it off. Somewhere on the dash there should be an alarm button, press that until the little red alarm light comes on, then close the door and lock with the key. You should by now have sorted out how to stop the windows closing when you lock the car, if you haven't and they do, the car's computer needs to be told. Your dealer should be able to do it.

thanks ron I havent yet tried to leave the windows open - with the dog in the car. Ive resorted to putting the dog in the car on the front drive and trying each permutation of moves. Ken

You'll have to crack the window problem before you can leave the dog in the car unless you have a good recipe for grilled dog and even then it's better if they're humanely slaughtered first..

Of course if you have the right sort of dog you probably needn't worry about locking the car...
