Re: HDi 90 losing turbo boost

i seem to have the same problem as you, but no ECU light has come on. in first and second gear its ok, when i put into third gear and put my foot right down the rev needle speeds up and goes back down and then starts to pick up speed.

i will driving along at a normal speed, i put my foot down again and the same thing will occur many thanks sid

I did not see the original post and, unfortunately, you have snipped it from this thread, but what you describe sounds like a perfect definition of a slipping (and therefore probably knackered) clutch.

I have to agree, sounds like a worn clutch to me too.

£220 fitted (don't go to a main dealer) at Ellesmere Port Clutch Centre for my Xantia 90hdi- same engine. When it's done find a place to rest your left foot away from the clutch pedal. DaveK.
