Another issue 95 Bonneville- radio won't shut off when exiting

Hi all

You've been very helpful. Here's another one I hope you can answer.

The "switch" in the door(?) or door handle(?) on the driver's side does not cause the radio, clock, etc. to shut off after turning off the engine and then exiting the car. This means, the radio/clock stays on indefinitely and could run the battery down.

It "does" work properly when exiting from the passenger side.

Where is this "switch"? What should we check?

Got a TSB for this one?? :)

Thanks spncity

Solved!

It was the "actuator" inside the door that needed to be replaced. It controls the dome light shut off, the door locks, etc., and is a multiple use switch or actuator.
