having trouble reseting the change oil light on a 99 grand am, manual says to turn the key to on, then press reset (trip) and it should flash, however it doesn't, also have the check tire pressure light on, and it calls for the same procedure to reset it, any idea on how to get them to reset?

not sure about the tire pressure monitor button, but do you have the trip computer?? My 02 Grand Prix has the oil life function and you have to push the reset button and hold it for a couple of seconds until it reads 100%. It might be the same for the tire pressure monitor.
ive tried just pressing it, and ive tried holding it, doesn't work either way. But the trip does switch back and forth, so the button does work
