Just wondering if the 99, 2.2 L motor would have an high RPM cutout . I was just reving my motor and noticed that once it hits about 4000 RPM it wants to cut out and go back to about 3000. This is in Park of course
does the sunfire have a high RPM cutout?

why would you rev it that high in park anyway? just curious
Its called a rev limiter. Cases like that are why GM started uses them...
yes, its not a free revving motor.
Don't get me wrong, I was not sitting there reving the motor up.y foot slipped and it hit the gas pedal hard.
