What is the best way to maintain the black paint to prevent those tiny scratches from washing it?

lots of wax and washing it properly. And get a good quality carnuba wax. I mainly use maguiars gold class. Mothers is also good, and if you want something great, get some Zaino's brothers
oh, and make sure to use 'car wash' not dish soap =)
