Phillip,

I cannot find anything that refers to L82. There is no sticker in the Glovebox, the one in the trunk refers to tire pressures only and the one on the door talks about vehicle weights.

Inside the engine compartment I have found this information:

CATALYST egr/h02s/twc/sfi

engine family: S1G3.1V8GFEA evaporative family: S1G1058AYMOA

31V8GFEU

Does this tell YOU anything?

Thanks again for the help.

It tells about your emissions controls. From the Catalyst I can see it has an EGR, heated o2 sensor, three way converter and sequential fuel injection. From the engine family I can give you the average values for HC/CO/NOx/HyNOx/Evap (which are .15/2.10/.35/.17/.20) and that it's a GM 3.1 and they made 82,333 that year. I can't really tell anything from the evaporative family. The older 3.1 like Ian was talking about used MPFI (it would have been MPI on the catalyst listing).

One place that I forgot to mention where RPO codes may be is around the spare tire. It'll look something like this :

Hope this helps a little bit.
