rear brake pads(94 grand prix)

okay whats the trick now, another thing that goes wrong again,a simple thing like changing rear pads on this car is as simple as pie, take bottom bolt out and the caliper is on a hinge on the top bolt(pin),it simply lifts up and the pads pull out of thier clips, except upon pushing the plunger back into caliper and putting the pads on,the caliper seems to tight now and will not go down over the new pads, upon really forcing it the wheel is so tight you have to force it to turn(other side was no problem)ther caliper seems loose enough and moves uup and down on pin and i'm sure thier the right pads,so is thier another step or trick i am not doing??does this caliper slide off of the pin or is it secured somehow??
