Depends on the engine the car has. Which one is it? GW

on a 4 cylinder motor. take the manifold sheild off. should be 3 10 mm bolts. jack up car. Put on jack stands. Using a flash light or shop light, look at the back of the motor, between number

2 and 3 exaust port. look for a metal tube about 1/2 inch in diameter. at the end of the tube is a thermostat housing. using 8 mm socket with extentions, unbolt the two bolts. it won't come lose until you take a 1/2 inch open end wrench and remove the bolt under the car on the passenger side, that supports the radiator pipe. It's attached to the oil pan. when this is removed, wiggle the metal pipe that's attached to the radiator hose under car. ( pull it down). Now look at the back of the motor where you took out the thermostat housing bolts. It should be open enough to remove the thermostat.
