Bluetooth Diagnostic Setting

I'm driving an '05 Prius and have found my way into the car's diagnostic mode. There are Bluetooth settings that can be modified:

1. Send level
2. Receive level
3. Voice Type

Anyone has a clue as to what #3 means? It is associated with a number that can be changed (default is 3).
