Hi, I have just bought a rover 216 auto. It has had a gearbox replacement and will not start in park,it will only start in neutral. I have been told that I need the gearbox code to allow it to start in park. Does anyone out there know what this means. regards,alex

sounds more like the selector switch near the selector is faulty............a good auto specialist in yer YP should be able to sort that without to much cost.
