Can anyone please tell me where the c/l relay is on my car as I am having a problem where it only seems to work when it's raiining. Bought a Haynes manual and they say it's in the passenger door, it's not. Also the wiring is nothing like in the manual.Any help would be much appreciated. Dennis Morgan

I had problems on my P reg 216, that cause all kinds of problems (including problems with the central locking). The problem was found to be faulty wiring in the tailgate of the car were the wiring loom enters the tailgate at the top thus shorting out several electrical connection. Your car will not suffer from this problem as it is a saloon, although the wiring in the door could be problematic.

You are right the central locking system should be in the drivers door. Might only be a problem with a loose connection. The water gets in and makes the connection!
