I just bought an N reg Rover 111 Kensington but the immobiliser fobs (two button) are both very worn and one didn't seem to be working. My dad took it apart and when you could press the immobiliser button 'bare', it worked. Trying to be helpful, he changed over the buttons so that the less well used alarm one could be used, but now the darned thing doesn't work at all. Could he, careful though he's been, have somehow 'detuned' it from my car? We know the battery is fine. If he has, is there a (cheap...heh) way of getting it fixed? I still have the other fob, but it too is very worn on the immobiliser switch.
