Sounds just like a battery problem!

If the battery is several years old, then it has simply come to the end of its life and cannot produce the 60 or so amps needed to turn the starter - especially if the weather is a bit nippy where you are.

Apparently there are spade connectors on the Starter or solenoid. They get corroded. You have to take them off and replace or clean them. They're a pain to get at.

This is what happened when our's wouldn't start anyway.

Sounds like you have no charge in the battery. Have the battery and alternator checked at your local auto electrics shop.
