2003 9-5 @ $10,000 off?

Hey Guys,

My local dealer has all remaining 2003 9-5's marked down $10,000. First I though there must be a catch or something, but it's true.... all brand new. We were looking at a Linear auto & metallic paint (MSRP $36,395) with 25 miles on it (42 now after our test drive) for $26,396. This seems like a deal that's hard to pass up... any thoughts?

Other interesting thing... it has cloth seats (which my wife and I want). In the literature cloth is not even an option.... how is this possible? Special order maybe?

What you all think?

Here in Norway 9-5 (2.0t/150hp) starts on ca. $51,500... :(

I think the cloth seats are standard on the Linear. Leather is a option.

Interesting...never seen one with cloth...

I just picked up a used 2003 Linear fullllly loaded with 11 thousand miles for 21,750$. You might want to look to private market.

I love that car!

I worked with Brent McCoid. He was very professional. And just so you know we did not buy one at this time (too may unknowns with a kid due in 2 months, hopefully next year).

I notice their entire stock of LINEARs have manual transmissions. They are assuming that no one does anything but drive on winding country roads. Do you have to special order to get one of them new-fangled automatics?

Actually the online inventory is not correct. I was out motor biking today (probably last time this year) and stopped by and they have 6 left with assorted options (some with autos). Brent indicated they sold 2 today and the boss is getting "very anxious" to sell the rest by month-end (they are open on Sunday). Something about losing 2004 allocations if they don't get rid of the 2003's this month (his word's, not mine.)
