Battery cables

I'm going to replace my battery cables, but $125 seems awfully steep, so I thought I'd make my own. (Looks to be around $60, and that's with shiny ricey terminal clamps and such.) I figure 4 gauge will be more than enough all around, right? What size wire terminals will I need on the non-battery ends?

Thanks, Ludwig

Using Monster Cable as an example, You can purchase a quality battery clamp starting at about $35 USD, you will need two. The connectors would be about $25 USD for the pair.

Less well known brands, such as Stinger, will cost about 20-30% less.

Going to an automotive or online store, you could get a set of generic replacement cables for about $20 USD.

Here is an example:

I have no affiliation with them, though I did order from them once.
