I am interested in buying a late model/slightly used 9-3 and would prefer the newer body style. I've seen differing info about when the body style changeover occurred. During which model year did the new body style arrive (in the US)? 2002 or 2003? Or perhaps there was a 2002 1/2 model which ushered in the new body style?

The hatchback 9-3 model was manufactured up until the 2003 model. The 2003 model was the last 9-3 hatchback. The 2004 model is the new 9-3.
