Guy, I use a very dilute detergent and a soft brush. Make sure you get ALL the bird poopies off the top before using the silicone spray on the top. I have used some specialty sprays and I have used Coleman tent spray. The Coleman stuff is much cheaper and seems to work almost as long. Make sure you saturate the "leading" edge of the top, it takes the worst beating from the wind and flying stuff. Oh yeah, don't get that stuff on the glass or anything else, it's a pain to get off and makes the finish kind of blotchy.

I have used Ragg Topp with great results. You need to wipe off the overspray before it dries.
