Disable day time running lights

Before you yell at me allow me to explain. I live in California and like to go to the Drive In but in winter it gets cold & I can't start the car to warm it up because the headlights come on. All the other cars honk & yell that they are trying to watch the movie.Help me to disable this please.

Pull out the fuse. It was easy to do on my '97 900 (RIP)

You still have Drive In movie theaters? There are other ways to keep warm at a drive in.

You can use a sleep> Before you yell at me allow me to explain.

This would be a completely legal move.

It woud be easy enough to install a switch but quite illegal.

It's just a fuse you need to pull out - the owner's manual clearly states which one.

Try this trick: Slightly pull up your emergency parking brake. The Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) won't come on (usually) with the parking brake on. This works on other vehicles and might work on Saabs. Don't pull fuses. I haven't tried it on our 2003 Linear but it worked on the Honda and Chrysler we've owned. Just my $0.02. R
